CyberTech provides maintenance outsourcing services at-site, off-site and offshore, through a unique methodology, for offshore maintenance. This maintenance methodology has been successfully implemented at many clients.
All the stages of CyberTech's development methodology are applicable to the maintenance methodology, during the steady state, and ongoing maintenance phase.
The phases involved in the maintenance takeover process are as follows
Phase 1: Pre-Transition Phase |
The purpose of this phase is to provide the transition planning and setting up of the infrastructure for maintenance.
Transition Planning
Through Transition Planning a high level understanding of the application systems, the extent of the maintenance activities, and current process, which are in place for maintenance of the applications are obtained. CyberTech has gained substantial experience related to maintenance process and procedures from remote site and these processes have been very well integrated into our ISO/CMM procedures. This gives us a head start and minimizes the elapse time for this phase.
Infrastructure Setup
During this activity, CyberTech will also initiate the process to establish the connectivity to perform development, maintenance and support activities. CyberTech already has 128KB satellite link from Mumbai. This phase will go in parallel with the transition planning phase and the knowledge transfer phase.
Phase 2: Transition Phase |
Knowledge Transfer
The purpose of this phase is to understand detailed functionality of the Application System. The functions of each and every group in the maintenance team would also be studied and in the process Cybertech would create the similar team. During this phase, Cybertech will have a greater presence at-site of its resources drawn from offshore project teams. The Detailed Study Phase duration, for each of these teams, may vary, depending upon the size and complexity of the individual team and its function.
Hands-on Experience & On-site System Support
The purpose of this activity is to transit completely the maintenance of the application from Customer team to CyberTech's team. During this activity, the team will jointly work with Customer's maintenance team to gain hands-on experience, with the maintenance activities for the applications.
Phase 3: Post-Transition Phase |
Ongoing Maintenance
This phase will include the ongoing development and maintenance activities. In this phase, CyberTech will support the maintenance of the applications independently. The CyberTech team would be broadly performing the same role and functions that Customer maintenance team is performing today.
